Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the Business Legal Rating platform. It supplements our Terms of Service and must be read together with them. By using the platform, you agree to comply with this AUP.

1. Purpose

The Business Legal Rating platform is designed to help businesses understand and improve their legal preparedness through AI-powered assessments. This AUP sets out the standards of conduct we expect from all users to ensure the platform remains accurate, trustworthy, and beneficial to the business community.

2. Permitted Use

You may use the platform to:

  • Assess the legal preparedness of a company you are authorised to represent;
  • Review your company's legal rating and category breakdown;
  • Download your legal rating certificate for legitimate business purposes;
  • Share your rating certificate with investors, partners, clients, or regulators;
  • Purchase and access the detailed action plan for your company's legal improvement;
  • Track your rating history over time to monitor legal preparedness improvements.

3. Prohibited Use

You must not use the platform to:

3.1 Fraudulent or Misleading Conduct

  • Provide false, misleading, or fabricated information in any assessment;
  • Impersonate another company or submit an assessment on behalf of a company you are not authorised to represent;
  • Manipulate assessment answers to artificially inflate your legal rating;
  • Misrepresent your rating to third parties by altering, editing, or selectively presenting results;
  • Create multiple accounts to obtain multiple ratings for the same company.

3.2 Technical Abuse

  • Use automated bots, scrapers, or scripts to access or extract data from the platform;
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the AI rating algorithm or methodology;
  • Conduct penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, or security probing without our written consent;
  • Introduce malware, viruses, or any other harmful code;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform, its infrastructure, or other users' accounts;
  • Overload or disrupt platform servers through denial-of-service attacks or excessive automated requests.

3.3 Commercial Misuse

  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit ratings, reports, or platform content without our prior written consent;
  • Use the platform to build a competing product or service;
  • Benchmark or compare our rating methodology for competitive intelligence purposes without authorisation;
  • Use assessment outputs to provide legal advice or consulting services to third parties without appropriate professional qualifications.

3.4 Legal Violations

  • Use the platform for any purpose that violates applicable laws or regulations;
  • Submit data that infringes any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
  • Use the platform in connection with money laundering, fraud, or other financial crimes;
  • Violate any applicable export control or sanctions laws.

4. Data Accuracy Obligation

The integrity of the Business Legal Rating system depends on the accuracy of the information users provide. You have an ongoing obligation to ensure that:

  • All information submitted in assessments is accurate, complete, and current to the best of your knowledge;
  • You promptly correct any material inaccuracies you discover after submission by contacting us;
  • You do not submit assessments based on hypothetical or aspirational information rather than actual practices.

We reserve the right to investigate and remove ratings that we have reasonable grounds to believe were obtained through inaccurate or fraudulent submissions.

5. Responsible Use of Ratings

Legal ratings are provided for informational purposes only. When sharing your rating with third parties, you must:

  • Present the rating in its full context, including the rating date and the disclaimer that it does not constitute legal advice;
  • Not represent the rating as a guarantee of legal compliance or as an endorsement by any regulatory authority;
  • Not use the rating in any way that could mislead investors, clients, or other stakeholders;
  • Acknowledge that ratings reflect a point-in-time assessment and may become outdated as legal circumstances change.

6. Enforcement

We reserve the right to investigate any suspected violation of this AUP. If we determine that a violation has occurred, we may take any of the following actions at our sole discretion:

  • Issue a warning;
  • Suspend or permanently terminate your account;
  • Remove or invalidate a rating obtained through prohibited conduct;
  • Report the conduct to relevant law enforcement or regulatory authorities;
  • Pursue legal action for damages or injunctive relief.

We will cooperate fully with law enforcement authorities in connection with any investigation of unlawful use of the platform.

7. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any use of the platform that violates this AUP, please report it to us immediately at[email protected]. Include as much detail as possible, including the nature of the violation, the account involved (if known), and any supporting evidence.

We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly. We will protect the confidentiality of reporters to the extent reasonably practicable.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the platform and by email. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised AUP.
